When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one tile with double the value.
Keep merging to reach the 1024 tile. Plan ahead -- 6 directions means more strategy than 2048!

Keep your highest tile near the center of the hex grid. This gives you maximum flexibility with 6 directions.
With 6 directions instead of 4, there are more possibilities. Think about where tiles will end up after each move.
Try to keep similar-value tiles close together so they can merge. Spreading tiles across the grid makes merging harder.
The outer ring has fewer neighbors. Use it to park tiles you don't want to merge yet.
